How to Install the Digital Certifications in Outlook?
The first and foremost thing you need to do is to Get and install the digital certificates on your computer. Do the following steps to on your Outlook application

  • Open Outlook 2013
  • Click on File
  • Click on Options
  • A new Window will appear click on the last option (Trust Center)
  • Click Trust Center Setting (in the main Window panel)
  • Click on Email Security and then in the “Digital IDs” section Click on “Get a Digital ID” which will navigate you to the Outlook Support Page for Getting IDs
  • One of the certificate issuer is Comodo which provides free certification for personal use. Go and signup for the personal page and after the email confirmation your certificates will get installed.

How to activate Digital Signature in Outlook 2010
To add digital signature in Outlook 2010 version follow these steps:

  • Click on File
  • Then Click on Options
  • Trust Center
  • Trust center setting
  • E-mail Security

  • Click on Email Security and then in the main Window Check the “Add digital Signature to all Outgoing messages”

2) Secure Using Encryption

What is Encryption?
In simple words it is the process of converting the message into an alien language which is known only to you and the intended receiver of the email and for the rest your message will be nothing but garbage words(due to ciphering). You can read more about encryption in email on Microsoft website.

Encryption in MS Outlook- for single and all emails
In Outlook you can either encrypt the message while you compose them or you can set a default setting which will automatically encrypt all outgoing messages.
To encrypt individual messages
You can encrypt the message at the time of composing it. At the time of writing new email just click the option tab and select the Encrypt icon and you done.
If you want all your emails to be send automatically in encrypted form you can do it simply by making some changes in the Outlook setting.

  • Select the email content and attachments for Outgoing messages radio button
